NUTR 6601 - Nutritional Biochemistry I: Fundamentals Prerequisite: undergraduate course in organic chemistry or introductory biochemistry. Lectures examine the structures, properties, and metabolism of four major classes of bio-organics (carbohydrates, lipids, proteins/amino acids, nucleic acids/nucleotides) with special attention to their biologic roles and nutritional aspects of their metabolism. 3 credits.
