PSYC 6657 - Forensic Assessment

Prerequisite: PSYC 6656. This course will review the spectrum of assessment methods used in evaluation and treatment in inmate and forensic settings. Various techniques of forensic interviewing will be examined. Emphasis on ability to assess violence and risk will be included. Students will come to understand the strengths and limitations of a wide variety of forensic assessment methods. Additional attention will be given regarding techniques to assess malingering.
