FORS 6612 - Principles of Forensic Science I Forensic science is a discipline that is broad and encompasses many different areas. A successful forensic scientist should have an understanding of what each field is capable of achieving and how it can assist them if necessary. This course will give the student an overview of the major disciplines of forensic science and how each can be used in a criminal investigation. Furthermore, the course will examine how evidence is identified and how the scientific method is employed to analyze evidence. 3 credits.
