CJST 6659 - Futures Research: Long-Range Planning and Forecasting in Criminal Justice An advanced examination of philosophical underpinnings of the discipline of Futures Research. The distinctions between conventional and long-range planning will be discussed. A multidisciplinary approach will be utilized. The student will learn to make use of several selective forecasting methodologies. The focus will be on the implementation of empirically derived strategies. The context will be justice system organizations. The purpose is to learn to effect meaningful social change. 3 credits.
