ARBC 1102 - Elementary Arabic II

Prerequisite: ARBC 1101 or consent of instructor. This course is the second semester of the elementary level of Modern Standard Arabic, and it builds upon the four skills of listening, speaking, reading and writing developed in ARBC 1101.Using task-based and communicative approaches to foreign language instruction, students build on more vocabulary, grammar and idiomatic expressions which relatively widens the spectrum of basic conversations to discuss additional topics, related to self, friends and surroundings.In addition to the language practice skills students expand more on the folkloric customs, behavioral and cultural patterns shared across the Arab world. 3 credits.
