MGMT 4550 - Business Capstone

Prerequisites: FINC 2213 , MGMT 2210 , MKTG 2200 , and senior standing.   Prerequisites or Co-requisites: BANL 2800 .  This capstone course provides an integrative experience in strategic management through the College's SLiCE approach (Shared Live Client Experience), in which students engage in sustained collaboration with an external client on an authentic organizational challenge. Drawing on the core functional disciplines of business (Human Resource Management, accounting, finance, information systems, marketing, operations/supply chain, and organizational behavior), students conduct external and internal analyses, develop and evaluate strategic alternatives, and recommend a coherent course of action. Emphasis is placed on translating analysis into an implementable plan supported by appropriate metrics, risk considerations, and professional written and oral communication. Through ongoing client interaction, students apply professional standards for client communication, incorporate stakeholder feedback, and deliver evidence-based, client-ready recommendations. 3 credits.
