Students earning a B.S. degree in communication with a concentration in film production will build the knowledge and skills related to film production in addition to a solid grounding in communication fundamentals. Through coursework emphasizing writing and production, as well as laboratory and available internship opportunities, students will learn to become competent and well-rounded film production professionals.
Students earning a B.S. degree in communication with a concentration in film production are required to complete a total of 121 credits as follows.

Core Curriculum
The completion of 40 credits of university core courses with these restrictions:
- CC 2.2: COMM 2200 Small Group Communication
- CC 1.2: Written Communication
- CC 8.2: Global and Intercultural Awareness
- CC 9.2: Perspectives on Creative Arts
Required Major Courses (33 credits)
Plus two film production electives (6 credits)
