Students earning a B.A. degree in communication with a concentration in public relations will build specialized knowledge and skills related to public relations across a variety of platforms, contexts, and formats in addition to acquiring a solid grounding in communication fundamentals. Through coursework emphasizing writing, campaigns, and persuasion, as well as field experiences and internship opportunities, students will learn to become competent and well-rounded public relations professionals.
Students earning a B.S. degree in communication with a concentration in public relations are required to complete a total of 121 credits as follows.

Core Curriculum
The completion of 40 credits of university core courses with these restrictions:
- CC 2.2: COMM 2200 Small Group Communication
- CC 8.2: Global and Intercultural Awareness
- CC 9.2: Perspectives on Creative Arts
