PHAS 6031 - Clinical Assessment II Prerequisites: successful completion of 19 credit hours within the Physician Associate program, PHAS 6030 ; co-requisites: PHAS 6011 , PHAS 6021 , PHAS 6022 , PHAS 6041 , PHAS 6051 . This course is the second in a three-course series and builds upon skills gained in Clinical Assessment I. Students continue to refine their skills in examination, counseling, documentation, and communication as they learn to manage patients with low to moderate complex medical issues utilizing a patient centered approach via consideration of the factors that may be influencing the individual to include social determinants of health, culture, and ethnicity. Students also learn advanced special tests used in the evaluation of disease in the cardiac, pulmonary, gastrointestinal, and female genitourinary body systems. 3 credits.
