PHAS 6030 - Clinical Assessment I

Prerequisite: acceptance into the Physician Associate program; co-requisites: PHAS 6000, PHAS 6001, PHAS 6010, PHAS 6020, PHAS 6040, PHAS 6050. An introduction to the skills of obtaining history, physical exam, counseling, documentation, and the communication skills required to effectively intervene with patients across the lifespan with a patient-centered approach. Students will learn to synthesize patient presentation and data from physical and diagnostic exams to arrive at differential diagnoses for a low complexity patient. 3 credits.
