PHAS 6042 - Clinical Medicine III


Prerequisites: successful completion of 37 credit hours within the Physician Associate program, PHAS 6041 ;  co-requisites: PHAS 6012 PHAS 6032 PHAS 6052 , PHAS 6060 , PHAS 6065 .  This course is the third of a 3-part series that focuses on integration of epidemiology, risk factors (including genetics, as applicable), pathophysiology, signs and symptoms, history and physical findings, laboratory and diagnostic tests, differential diagnosis, therapeutic management, implications, prevention measures, prognosis, patient education and follow-up of emergent and non-emergent disorders encountered in primary care across the lifespan. The following body systems are included: reproductive, endocrine, musculoskeletal, neurologic, and infectious disease.  This course is synchronized with the Clinical Assessment III and Pharmacology III courses. 6 credits.
